ok so i had windows 7 and didnt have any problems.i did a fresh clean install of windows 10 and now when i play some games i have very bad framerates...I launched msi afterburner while playing a game (red orchestra 2) and i noticed that the game wasnt using the full power of the GPU.It was staying in 50-60% even when the game was lagging..It never went above 70%..And the game was lagging all the time. Can someone help me fix this?I think its a windows 10 problem..Yes i freshly installed the latest drivers for my GPU.

HPET is normally activated in Windows 7, but certain builds of PC run more smoothly without HPET activated.
My windows 10 PC gained 10+ Fps after disabling it but some windows 10 users have improved Fps after activating it. You have to just test out if it works for you.

It has to be activated/deactivated in BOTH bios and windows.
How to enable/disable HPET
Hi,

This seems to be a common issue with Windows 10 lately. 🙁 Please do try this troubleshooting steps that I suggested to others that may help.
- Go to Device Manager and uninstall the Nvidia or AMD graphics driver.
- Next is to open Programs and Features then uninstall anything related to Nvidia or AMD.
- Once completely uninstalled, download and install the latest driver.
- Here's the link:
Nvidia: http://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx
AMD: http://support.amd.com/en-us/download
- Reboot the PC once the latest driver has been installed.
- After the reboot do set Nvidia or AMD as the default GPU.
- Here's how with Nvidia: http://nvidia.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/2615/~/how-do-i-customize-optimus-profiles-and-settings%3F
