Question Bad RAM seat?

Hello,
I just got this piece of crap B50M-HDV R4.0 replaced because the display wouldn't boot up. I'm using the CPU graphics Ryzen 5 3400G. I thought it was the HDMI port on the board. They replaced it and when i put the new one together. I'm getting a similar if not the same issue. I pulled the RAM (Silicon Power GAMING 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3200 CL16 Memory) and put one 8 GB stick in the first slot and voila it booted right up. Then I put both sticks back in and no joy. It will not boot. I even tried both sticks in that slot with the first slot empty. If that second slot has RAM in it the board will not boot up. The CPU fan turns on, but it doesn't display. But when I clear that second spot it boots right up beautifully. Could it be something other than a bad seat? Something in the BIOS maybe? I'm not too up on that stuff.

? If so, what BIOS version are you working with on the motherboard?

Then I put both sticks back in and no joy. It will not boot. I even tried both sticks in that slot with the first slot empty. If that second slot has RAM in it the board will not boot up. The CPU fan turns on, but it doesn't display. But when I clear that second spot it boots right up beautifully.
It's probable that the integrated memory controller(IMC) might be faulty/failing. You can try and drop the APU onto another motherboard with the right BIOS version and see if a dual channel ram kit produces the same issue. If so, then you can narrow down the APU's IMC being the root of the issue. If the issue doesn't crop up, then the ram slot on your B450 chipset motherboard is the issue.

1. remove the battery on the motherboard the coin battery this resets the bios just incase xmp is on.

the max memory speed for cpu is 2933mhz

also check what bios it is running. since you said its using 1 stick you could get it running.

I reset the battery, same issue. Here's a couple snapshots of the BIOS
I also change the RAM Frequency to 3200. Still the same. This time it rebooted by itself 3 times before it stayed running but still no post.

You can try and drop the APU onto another motherboard with the right BIOS version and see if a dual channel ram kit produces the same issue. If so, then you can narrow down the APU's IMC being the root of the issue. If the issue doesn't crop up, then the ram slot on your B450 chipset motherboard is the issue.

Unfortunately I don't have another board to try this on. I just had the board AND the APU replaced, they are both suppose to be brand new. This is crazy.

Update: I just purchased another board on Amazon to try that on. I'll have it tomorrow. I'll let you know!!
