Recently I got a problem with my computer which caused it not make it past post, resulting in a blank screen and a beep code for bad ram modules.

So I cleaned the ram with an eraser, the slots with a brush and tried again but it still didn't work. I repeated this process with each stick of ram, placing it in each dimm slot, and using the mem-ok feature to try to boot, but this did not work. I tried using some of my friends ram but this does not work and still get the same beep code.

Any ideas?

Specs:
Motherboard: P8h67-M
CPU: i5 2400
Memory: kingston 1333mhz valueram or Kingston hyperx 1600mhz
Graphics: On board
PSU: 550 watts.

Yeah that's exactly what I did for each stick of ram, cleaning the slots and ram between each test.

His ram still works just fine in his machine. It is of different volatge (1.65volts) compared to the 1.5volts of the value ram in my system. I used it in my machine before when I experienced some similar problems about a month ago for two weeks, then switched back to my ram which started working again.

It seems it fails to boot up half the time with either stick and sometimes required the use of mem-ok to boot.

His ram is still working fine. My seems to work about half the time in his computer, but not at all in my computer.
