I am trying to get my monitor to go into 1600x1200. It has done it with previous drivers, but ever since 6.50 came out, I cannot get it to go above 1280x1024. Powerstrip is saying that the registry says my monitor can only support 1280x1024. I know that is incorrect. How do I go about getting my monitor back to the 1600x1200 that I love so much? BTW: I have a VisonTek GeForce 2 GTS 64mb with a Sony Trinitron Multiscan 300sft.

Alot of times when you install new video drivers the card redetects and reinstalls the monitor drivers as well usually as a "plug and play monitor" or "default monitor" check to make sure this is not the case and if it is update the monitors drivers.

A little bit of knowledge is a dangerous thing!

i had that same exact problem. your monitor inf. file may not be in the windows driver list so go to your manufacturer's site and download the inf file for it (youll also want to install its color profile).
