I'm having a significant amount of stuttering on all of my games after 15 hours or so of activity. It only goes away after I restart Windows but only for 10-15 hours, then it comes back. I keep my pc on 24/7 and I've found on Google that theoretically, I should only restart Windows once a week.
The only apps I always use are my browser(Chrome, 15 tabs) and the multimedia player(PotPlayer, 5 instances). Other than that, it's just games like Assetto Corsa, Call of Duty and Euro Truck Simulator 2.

What could this be?

My pc:

Windows 11 24H2

CPU: FX6300
MB: Asus M5A78L-M LX V2
RAM: 16GB DDR3
GPU: R7 240 2GB
3 HD + 2 SSDs
PSU: Gamemax GP 650

^ Category - E, literally a trash PSU.

You forgot to mention the make and model of your case. What sort of temps do you see when you're system begins stuttering?

You should either retire the platform or make sure you've powered down the system when no in use.

My psu is about 4 years old. I didn't know it was that bad, but why does it only happen after 15 hours of activity and then goes away after restarting Windows?

Although my case isn't great, my temps are always normal even when gaming. GPU rarely exceeds 55ºC and the cpu is around the same temp while I'm pushing it.

The games I use are basically old, like Call Of Duty MW2(2010), a lot less demanding than your typical triple A games which my gpu won't run decently.
