Badly need help installing Windows 10

Hi all

So I need to format my hard drive as it is MBR and Windows 10 won't install on it. Problem is if I format it I will have to do a clean install which I need to buy a license for 🙁 The Upgrade offer is free which is what I want, but how can I upgrade when I have to format it to GPT?? :S

You can't. You have to reinstall windows 7 or 8 and then upgrade to windows 10 before doing a clean install of 10.

Microsoft is doing this so they can validate you have a valid license before.

well id advise backing up your doc first be4 you formant and then you install windows 8 and download the update for 10

Kind of a kick in the nuts but my own fault for having MBR disk I guess :/ I will try that then, thank you

windows 10 will install on mbr

though uefi secure boot may need to be disabled

Just checked my work PC and it is MBR too...WTF so why can't it install on my home PC?
