banner ads in posts

Solution
Will be investigating this - hopefully will have an answer for you in a few days.

Update: The ads you are seeing are not intended for registered users, and is a temporary experiment by our development team to streamline and reduce the footprint of ads displayed to the general public. They will be taking steps to remove these from being displayed to you and other registered users. Please bear with - it's a temporary issue and should be resolved in short order. :)

Can you do a screenshot? I'm not seeing any ad on that thread.

its a open adclick to amazon.. I thought I been seeing this most of today in threads but as I said some tims there there some times not i'll look in to that screenshot deal I just don't care for going theough 3ed party sites like imgur and doing accounts with them seemed like I read there eulas and got turned off from doing that..

That's really unusual. I don't think I've seen that style of ad on our site before, and as a logged in registered user with expert badges, you certainly shouldn't be seeing any ads in the forum.

I'll forward this over to the devs for investigation. Might be worthwhile to check stuff on your end in your browser as well, if something related to an extension poked it's way in with a bit of malware. I've had that happen to me recently with a pretty respected extension that started interjecting amazon ads here and there in Chrome.

spent the last 2hrs scanning all clean for whats that worth and I'm not one for going to odd sites or downloading as you can tell I did not want to do that imager thing to post the screenshot thst how much I look things over and don't click I agree. but that's still no guarantee something slipped in
