I have a problem with the sound on my new custom build PC. Everything works just fine apart from that so its a rather annoying problem.

The problem is that the sound from my front panel jack is only barely hearable when i crank the volume all the way up, and I get no sound what so ever from the back panel outputs. My mobo is an ASUS B85-Pro Gamer. However, the speakers on my monitor, ASUS VN247H, works just fine wired as HDMI to HDMI on my GPU, GeForce GTX 970. My drivers are NVIDIA High Definition Audio and Razer Surround Pro, not Realtek as I've seen a lot of others use, even though I have tried installing those too.

Specs:
In Win 703 midi
Corsair CX600 powersupply
Seagate 1TB SSHD drive
ASUS B85-Pro Gamer mobo
Intel i5 4460
2x HyperX 4Gb RAM

Any help is greatly appreciated

Solution
Try installing the driver for it:
http://www.asus.com/uk/supportonly/B85-PRO%20GAMER/HelpDesk_Download/
It's possible the motherboard is faulty or the front panel audio port is faulty.

I just installed the driver, though the problem persists

i have the same problem yet on a different board
I own an MSI g46 970a

I can get sounds to come out the jack by wiggiling the headphone in the jack but it seems to work with select headphones? idk
