[SOLVED] Power Bank stops charging after a short while ?

I have two GoalZero Flip 36 backup power banks. I heard you're suppose to drain the battery every once in a while and recharge them to prolong the battery life.

When I charge something with them, it stops charging after a while. I don't know how long or if it's random.
I come back later to see it's not charging but has a lot of battery life still in it. What gives?

I'm going to assume based on the lack of response that the units are faulty and that there is nothing that can be done. I will toss them out today. It's too late to return them. Thank you for your input.

At least 6 months.

When using the power banks, either to charge something else or when charging the power bank, do they seem to get unusually hot? Any signs of physical damage, like swelling, or being dropped?
