Battlefield 2 wont run

i have recently gotten battlefield 2 (legally)
but i cant run it
a buddy of mine can run it and he has very similar equipment
i have intel g31 chipset (integrated graphics)
i have tried the basic stuff
any ideas??

Well lets start by explaining what exactly happens...
The game crashes to desktop or do u get any error messages or when you double click on the shortcut nothing happens?

What are your exact specs...

guys! i have the same problem. 🙁 we gotta find out why does that happen?
i installed it perfectly but when i click the shortcut a pop up comes n then i click start bf2 ....my screen goes black........boom n back to the desktop...some one really gotta find out why...

What OS are you using? If Windows 7 or Vista try running the game in Windows XP compatibility mode.
