Do you have a total combined budget for everything?

If I was you and the budget really cant stretch out much I think I would get the Mobo, CPU & RAM I listed then settle on a budget Graphics card until I can afford a better one.

Reason being Once you have the CPU, mobo and RAM thats the "bones" of your system. If you can push to that Phenom II set I listed you have a base of the rig that will last a while. The GPU while important is in the long run the 1 thing you can probably settle on as its cheaper and easier to upgrade that later than it is to do the entire CPU/RAM/Mobo again.

GPU wise watch out on auctions like these

None of those will set the world on fire but should push medium settings with some high

The best of those is socket FM1 and still not great. The £20 you would save on the Phenom 2 you would then spend on an FM1 mobo

http://www.byhunt.co.uk/tech/index [...] t_id=68819

The money you save on these athlons instead of phenoms will bite you hard on the ass when you find it has no L3 cache so is slower clock for clock and the multiplier is locked so you cant overclock it properly to extend life/boost performance.

The one i linked is cheapest i can find including Ebay and paired with the cheapest AM3 motherboard I can find.

hey guys i searched every where and asked a lot of people and they say that i can play on the motherboard i selected and that it will run on medium because i got 4GB ram, is this true because i cant go higher that £115

Whoever told you that is really full of cr@p mate. RAM has nothing to do with the framerates and quality.... I have 16GB RAM I still cant play ultra.

If £115 is top budget for the mobo bundle surely you can find £20.88 for the phenom 2 setup or even an extra tenner if you plan to settle for the athlon. I would err hard at getting second hand CPU's and mobo's from flEaBay you dont know how abused they are. You may end up with a CPU that has belonged to some nugget that used no thermal paste and tried to OC by overvolting and is the thing is hanging on to its last thread of life.

4GB Pikey RAM

http://www.byhunt.co.uk/tech/index.php?route=product/product&path=25_303_334_336_244&product_id=32062
Phenom II X4 955BE

AM3+ Nvidia Geforce 7025

The board is actually this its an AM3 board NOT AM3+ with FX support as the sales site lies.

That would be a reasonable basis within your budget

no you will need ddr3. sell the ddr1 on ebay

£125 total budget you simply arent going to game at any thing close to playable quality. If you got the £113.84 i linked above you would still need another £50 minimum for a graphics card (to play at low) or another £80 (to play mid/high) maybe less if you get the GPU 2nd hand

The cheapest quad core would be the athlon you found on that same site but to save a very small amount you will take a big performance hit and find yourself wanting an upgrade alot sooner. Motherboard wise there is nothing cheaper.

Your budget is simply too low. The only advice I can really offer further is get the Phenom II, RAM and motherboard then simply wait and save for the graphics card. £50 wont take that long to save up.

Yes with a decent GPU.

Also you need a heatsink and fan for that CPU

http://www.cclonline.com/product/26513/AC-ALP-64PWM/CPU-Coolers/Arctic-Cooling-Alpine-64-PWM-CPU-Cooler/CLR4135/

Thats a cheap one

There really isnt one. If you cant pull to the Phenom II i suggest you just get the fastest clock speed am3 athlon you can find with as many cores as you can but know BF3 large multiplayer maps will grind it to a slow mess.

Your budget simply isn't going to allow medium or high on multiplayer with good framerates.
