Hello folks,

I´ve been playing BF4 for the past weeks and even after confirming that none of my cores are paked the game still uses 98-100% of CPU at all times. Is this normal?

Solution
It is weird because no matter the settings (low or Ultra) the CPU utilization reamins the same as much as the the performance. I get between 40-60 fps which is not too bad but my concern was looking at the resource monitor and seeing 100% cpu usage.

Full specs im using are:
MOBO: asus-p8h61-le-br
Intel Core I5 2400 3.10GHz (Turbo mode with no parking)
RAM: 8gb
GPU: GeForce GTX770 2GB
OS: Windows 7

Doesn,t make sense having 100% at all times at least from my perspective.

I would make sense with your GPU. All it means is that BF4 does not limit FPS. At lower settings it just generates as many frames as possible till it maxes out a component. In this case with a GTX 770 that component is always going to be your CPU unless you have too little RAM for higher settings.

So the whole 100% utilization case is expected and there is nothing I can do to lower it with my current set up, did I get it correctly?
Like I said previously my main concern was having something wrong with my machine, the game itself is playing fine for me.

You can lower it with a frame limiter like Dxtory, but yes, it is completely normal.
