Battlefield 4 problems

When I join a game everything is fine good fps no stuttering but suddently gpu usage drops to 20% and cpu usage goes 100% then after 1minute
everything is fine again but after 2minutes it happens again!
When I play I have no other programs running.
It doesn't matter what settings I play on it always happens

Pc:

CPU: g3258 oced to 4.2ghz

GPU:gtx 750ti windforce oced to
1421mhz

4gb ram corsair vengeance

500gb hdd

I need help!

Does this issue have any real world negative impacts on your game (such as fps suddenly decreases)?

You might be OK at low settings

Multiplayer uses the CPU more than single-player mode does. And even OC'd, your CPU is decidedly on the budget side.

Upgrading to even an i3, let alone an i5, will help quite a bit with that.

Also, 4GB of RAM is getting to be a bit on the low side, especially if you're running 64-bit Windows. Doubling to 8GB of RAM will probably help as well.

If your CPU is at 100% usage then it is struggling to play the game. Have you got a good cooler on it for overclocking?

I do not have a good cooler but it doesn't run hotter than 85 Celsius. My cpu isn't at 100% when my gpu usage is high only when it's low

85C is way too hot for a CPU. It should run at 60C max.

No. Its just stopping your CPU working properly.

That g3258 will oc to 4.5 on air if you have a good chip but you need a decent aftermarket cooler. Without oc, that chi[p is not great and even high oc on some newer games itwill bottleneck even oc, as itis only a dual core. It's a super chip tho for 60 bucks.

EDIT: I see now...and yes you should get an aftermarket cooler. 85 too hot. Battlefield is more quadcore and up oriented if I remember right. I think the dual cores can run into issues on that game, even with high oc.

I played BF4 in Ultra, disabled AA, with my OLD Rig HD5870 i7 860 @4ghz.. so happy it still runs..

When gaming my cpu never reaches 70 Celsius it reaches 85 when using p95

So if remove my oc completely it would help?

Your CPU should be below 60C when gaming. You should not overclock any CPU on a stock cooler.

If your CPU is at 100% usage, then your GPU usage won't go any higher either.

I7 is right. if you are having cpu issues, it will most certainly affect your gpu usage.

bf4 has this problem with less than 8gb of ram, it's well know issue

also please be clear, when playing the game what are the max cpu/gpu temps?
