While playing it suddently shutters for a second or two.
Build:

Operating System: Windows 10 Pro 64-bit
CPU: Intel Core 2 Quad Q9400 @ 2.66GHz 40 °C
RAM: 4.00GB Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 533MHz (8-8-8-20)
Motherboard: FOXCONN 2A8Ch (CPU 1) 44 °C
Graphics: Compaq CQ1859 (1366x768@60Hz) 4095MB NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti (EVGA) 33 °C
Storage: 465GB Western Digital WDC WD5000AAKS-00UU3A0 ATA Device (SATA) 46 °C
 
Failing and fragmented are different things. Try shutting down literally everything except bf4 and see if the stutters get any better. 3.7 usage means it could be starting to use "virtual memory" (using your hard drive as extra memory which causes stutters). That'd be my guess based on your additional info
 


You are pretty close to your memory limit. That might be the cause.
Has this effect not always happened? Of so. You might consider any new things you've installed.
Software, Or drivers. Could be the culprit.
 


Just googled hdd failure signs. My HDD does none of those.
I've set virtual memory min 8192MB.
Will try shutting down everything except bf4 now.
 


It only happens with bf4.
I play far cry 4, fc primal,ryse son of rome with no problems.
I only get nvidia driver update
