I have been playing BF4 in single player at 1080p ultra settings + 200% resolution scale with my Geforce GTX 680 SLI but the game goes slow. The max that I can play is ultra + 150% resolution scale. I think that the cause is my GTX 680 SLI having only 2GB Vram.
1) Are you able to play it smoothly at 200% resolution scale with Titan/GTX 780/AMD 7990/AMD 290x or other graphics cards having 4GB or 6GB Vram?
2) Do you have the flickering issue in open spaces? it is really annoying and I still haven't found the solution for it.

Is it really necessary to run at 200% resolution? This seems like an awfully demanding feature, as it will render your screen as if it is twice its size, then shrink it, for a form of AA. Try using normal AA settings instead.

same here. i have 680 sli and i cant run ultra settings with 200% resolution scale cause my frames go down to 40 fps and in intense scenes down to 20 fps. And i get super bad flickers also

there is no single card that can handle bf4 on %200 res, with R9-290 you can go up to %120-140 depends on the map but thats it after it it wont be smooth! I think you need a crossfire of two 290s to get the %200

The 290 can play BF4 Ultra @ 4k with AA turned off quite smoothly. Which, let's be honest, isn't really necessary at that resolution. So it shouldn't have too many problems doing a full 200% scale of 1080p. MSAA turned on, however, is another story.

So, im looking getting at a Titan or 780 ti (leaning towards the 780ti). Currently the my rig is an i7 4770k, Z87 pro, 250SSD, 1TB and so on..
Being a uni student most of my money tends to end up in a pub somewhere but apparently is a pretty good build (I know NOTHING about PCs) Anyway, anything you would suggest to run BF4 on ultra with all AA off but resolution scaling at 200% @1080p?? My laptop was a 1080p and to me all AA looks like arse, way too blurry.
Cheers
