Battlefield Bad Company 2 application load error

Every time I try to launch the game, I get a popup saying "Application load error 5:0000065434"

Launching it through Steam doesn't fix it.

Specs:
Ryzen 1400
8GB DDR4
GTX 1060 3GB

I found out what was causing the error, Steam hadn't completed the initial setup. I was able to launch the game through Geforce Experience.
