Hello

I'm planning to start watching this series and need some advice.

If you go to this link, you'll see there is the older version and spinoff, as well as the later reboot and movie etc.

So should I watch all the old stuff before I watch the reboot?
How good/watchable and helpful/worthwhile would that be?

What do you think?
Particularly interested in hearing from people who actually have watched the earlier stuff too?

Skip the old stuff it’s garbage start with the new movie in 2000 and then start the series. Again skip the old series it’s complete hot garbage

I grew up with the old stuff and it’s terrible corn pone

The new series is the best science-fiction series I’ve ever seen

There is no benefit in watching the old stuff anyway the reboot is much much much better

As a viewer who never missed a second of the original show when broadcast, I agree with Mandark, skip the old stuff and start with the new movie in 2000.

The newer series stands well on its own. No need to go back and see the original unless you just care for the campy old stuff.
