I do not know how high quality their PSUs are, but more quiet and highly efficient 300W and lower PSUs are definitely needed in the market!

I'm guessing they do not want to cut into their own profit margins.

The "problem" with low-wattage PSUs is that there is maybe $5 worth of difference in the manufacturing cost of 200W and 500W PSUs that otherwise share the same design/PCB - the cost difference for appropriate MOSFETs across that power range is only a few pennies per device; same for the transformer and inductor windings with thicker copper.

BeQuiet probably decided that the NA market has deep enough pockets that they do not need to "cheat themselves" out of ~$20 worth of practically free profit per unit by offering 300W PSUs there.

Would've liked to see a 400W model here at least. I don't think there's a huge loss of the 300W model not coming to the US shores.
