Beep Codes?

I have installed an Asus A7V133-C and a 1.4ghz athlon processor. Memory is PC-133 (I haved researched them)The memory was used in an Asus K7V-T and worked fine. I have tried each module of memory into the new MB and it gives the no memory or memory not recognized beep code. What's going on with this system?

You sure its not PC100 ?

Can you put it back in the original mobo and run some tests on it like

I have checked the RAM its ok. Even if it's PC 100 the motherboard says it can handle the PC 100 ok. Anyone know anything else?

you sure it is pushed in all the way?

try diffrent dimm slots...

clear the bios...

I have done all those still no boot. Still the memory nis not recognized.

try a diffrent memory module...your board could be dead...

a board of mine died and the exact same thing happened...


even with pc150 i could not get a post!

Take it to your local shop, and tell them you want to buy some ram for it. They'll get it to work.
