Question Beeping Laptop

When I start my laptop after the Press F2 to enter Setup screen it beeps without showing anything. After shutting it and restarting 3-4 times Windows starts and displays ++++++++++++ in all text boxes. I scanned with anti-virus but nothing was found. What could be the cause?

I'd lightly tap all the keys, and, especially the "+/=" key, just to make sure no keys are stuck...

Can you actually enter the setup normally, and manipulate the menus, examine/make changes to date, boot device priority, etc..?

Was the laptop's OS drive encrypted?

How did you scan with an AV? (Are you saying you can boot to Windows desktop and operate normally?)

Once the system boots it works normally. But whenever a text box appears it diplays ++++++++++++++++ in it. I then have to delete it and start typing.

When I start my laptop, after displaying the logo it starts ringing a bell. I have to keep the on/off switch pressed to stop the bell sound. After sometime Windows opens. What could be the cause of this?
