Is there an inherent benefit in compatability, reliability or
performance when using an ASUS video card with an ASUS motherboard?

If I'm going to buy an ASUS motherboard, should I just get an ASUS
video card and be done with it or is it really worth it to investigate
the rest of the video card universe?

Thanks,
mark

There could be an advantage to using a video card with the nVidia
chipset with a motherboard that also uses the nVidia chipset. You've
got a marginally higher probability that the same company probably
made sure that all their parts work together. Of course, I've been
wrong before...

Hi, none that I can think of if you compare it to other good quality
cards.....

Well at least if you end up calling Tech Support, they can't blame the
other guy 🙂-)

Nope.

But, if you plan on getting a nVidia based video card, regardless of the
brand, there could be an inherent benefit getting a nVidia nForce based
motherboard, regardless of the brand.

Hi, there is no advantage in performance or stability with using both NVidia
hardware what so ever. There, however, there might be personal experiences
which lead people to believe there is a benefit, but then there is no
science that can back that up...
