I've been up all night trying to figure out why my brother's new computer build was in a boot loop and went to check the cpu. It looks like the socket has bent pins, maybe arrived that way or maybe we accidentally bent them somehow. I realy don't know.
Here's the damage

Any help is appreciated. I'm pretty upset about this and don't know what to do really.

there going to be two issue. one is a lot of people with the new intel guild to installing the cpu with the cpu protector cover on can cause these bent pins. if the cpu not in the slot right and the cover presses down it going to mash a lot of pins. asus is having issues like this becuase there cpu slot not the same as intel watend it per spec. the other issue is most mb wont cover bent pins as user error. you may have to force the rep your speaking with to hand you over to a level 2 or 3 customer support/eng. if you used a credit card you may have to do a charge back.
