Well since I'm new to building PC's, I got a case that looked nice but its seem quite poor for cooling. I got this http://www.cooltek.de/en/cubes/coolcube/2/coolcube and wanted to add an CM Evo 212 but that's 120mm and I only have space for an 80mm cooler.

I have a Asus Maximus VI Impact (Mini ITX) motherboard with HyperX FURY Series 8GB (2x 4GB) ram which I'm assuming is low profile? And a Be Quiet Semi Modular 430 ATX PSU.

I would really appreciate the best 80mm cooler, maximum price £35 as it is a budget PC but lower is fine

I know you said £35 max mate but an extra £2 gets you a Pallas which in the sub 75mm bracket is the absolute king of cpu coolers.
RAIJINTEK 0R100004 - Raijintek Pallas 140mm Low Profile CPU Cooler https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00IAPTBCK/ref=cm_sw_r_awd_-3j4vbRWJWVQ0

If it has to be under £35 then at the moment only these 2 spring to mind.

Zalman CNPS8900 Quiet Heatsink and Fan (Socket 1155, 1156, 1366, 775, FM1, AM3+, AM3, AM2+, AM2, Powerful Cooling Performance, DTH Technology) https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0077POH8M/ref=cm_sw_r_awd_24j4vbB8MPMWK

Phanteks PH-TC12LS_BK - PH-TC12LS 120mm CPU Cooler https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00QJI75AA/ref=cm_sw_r_awd_H5j4vbV7S45DK

For the sake of £7 though the Pallas is far far superior.

I have a G3258 and made a shortlist for coolers: I can maybe stretch to £40

Prolimatech Samuel 17 - read some users liking this
Noctua NH-L9i - meets height http://www.amazon.co.uk/Noctua-NH-L9i-Cooler-Socket-1155/dp/B009VCAJ7W/ref=sr_1_1?s=computers&ie=UTF8&qid=1440859505&sr=1-1&keywords=nh-l9i
Silverstone NT06-Pro - just found out its 82mm
Silverstone AR06 - was good but some reviews saying not good for OC
Zalman CNPS8900 - Has best reviews and only 60mm
Thermalright AXP 100 - official cooler? http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a331/doyll/Asus%20Maximus%20VI%20Impact%20amp%20AXP-100_zpsaktri5n5.png

Is there any reason why you picked the Raijintek over the Zalman? You praised it but I cant find good reviews

I praised it because I use it personally.

Building htpc rigs I've used a lot of lp coolers.
The Pallas is quite simply the best sub £50 lp cooler there is bar none.
Used the 8900 - the Pallas knocks 10c off CPU & 15c off vrm temps in comparison

On an mitx it offers full board/CPU & component cooling & has zero ram interference.
Nothing touches it for the money.

Solution
Doesn't interfere with ram

It can be mounted 4 different ways - this I would consider the optimal way.

I've only used the Pallas on amd builds mate BUT compared to both the scythe big shuriken 2 & cnpsx8900 which I've also used it knocks them out of the park.

Currently mine is running a fx6300@4.3ghz - max CPU temp 55c/max vrm temp 27c - 30 minute prime run - in a slimline Silverstone gd06 htpc case.

These are close to evo 212 temps which is excellent for a 68mm tall cooler.

Just looked at that thermal take - I think raijintek stole the design & added some steroids - it looks like its monstrously beefed up big brother ;-)

I'm here!!! Thanks madmatt30.

Here's the system I used the Pallas on,

http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/id-2626627/build-log-middle-school-science-fair-project-system.html

I used it to get my two G3258s to 4.2 and 4.5 Ghz, to get higher needed voltages in the 1.37+ range which is too high for me. So I have an average and a below average chip (but my i5 4690K got to 4.7Ghz on the Pallas and 4.8Ghz on my Noctua NH D15S big boy.)

If you look at the photos, you may see the overhang of the cooler.

It's a great product and I recommend it as the best of the low-profile coolers. With a little extra space, you could but a full-thickness Noctua fan on it, although that would increase the price quite a bit.

Any other questions??

Not sure exactly as I'll have to strip the pc but you can get an idea here @ 3:39 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ow737ez0GVs

Ive got these rams http://www.amazon.co.uk/HyperX-FURY-1866MHz-Memory-Module/dp/B00J8E91T0/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1440879257&sr=8-1&keywords=ddr3

edit: if you look very carefully @ 14:24 looks like it could be same height as mine is similar to this ram https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SmnyV1uPwQs

edit 2: heres the ah heck http://www.ocaholic.ch/modules/xcgal/thumbnails.php?album=3122

Do you know the length of base of heatsink to the bottom of the heatsink?

edit 3: specs here http://www.raijintek.com/en/products_detail.php?ProductID=9 153×150×68 mm

These are the pics that matter.

The PALLAS can be installed N, S, E or W. In one configuration with the end of the heatpipes pointing to the I/O shield, the Memory is accessible.

I have the cooler out of the computer at the moment ans also have a spare mITX board lying around (ASRock Z97E-mITX/ac.

Is there any particular measurement you would like me to make?

Heatsink overhangs by 15mm on all orientations?

Do you have a side view of orientation W? Wanted to see how it looks under the heatsink

BTW what's the length of that board?

I keep looking at this & in all honesty can't see any way it going to fit.

W - would be the most likely orientation to work but that vrm power board looks awfully high to me - the sounds board looks like it may indeed fit underneath.

Ganons - think I've been perusing the same Google searches as you as I've seen you pop up on the rog forums??

There's not a lot of helpful stuff there - if anything a lot of people in the same boat!!

Top quality mitx board - very flawed layout wise when it comes to lp coolers though:-/
