The i3 doesn't OC, but still it beats even an overclocked fx-6300 for gaming. +1 to this build

In what way is the i3 better than fx-6300?

When will the r9 300 series come out? I think I will order the parts near the end of may.

Its a good build, but, the PSU is lower quality than the xfx unit and the r9 270 is a lot weaker than the r9 280 in my posted build. An i3 will be able to handle an r9 280 with no issue, i would buy an i3 over an i5 and take that saved money and put it into the gpu. With my r9 270x, my i3 will never go above 50% usage in games.

so would this http://ca.pcpartpicker.com/p/VDwxCJ would be a better idea?

In early June at Computex.

I don't mind the i5 / 270x idea. I think the i3 / 280 combo gives more outright performance now, but upgrading a gpu is a little less involved than replacing a cpu, so settling in now with an i5 which should last for years isn't a bad idea really. It's your call

Yep, but i would change out the power supply for a higher quality one, 600b is good, but there are better for the same price.

what do you reccomend?

The xfx in my posted build is a good choice and recommended often by Toms community.

is 550 watts enough for overclocking my gpu?

8320 will not perform better in most games compared to an i3, and also, that mobo is just down right terrible, its the LE version, which has no heatsinks on the vrms so overclocking will not be possible.
