Ok I'm upgrading my of parts currently I have a as-rock fatal1ty 990fx killer a fx 6300 overclocked to 4.6 cpunb is 2000 and ht link is 2400 and 8gb of 1866 ram I'm only getting like 8124 max in 3dmarks and I have heard of people getting 10000+ what is a better to upgrade cpu or more ram ?

8GB of ram is fine. Id try for an Fx 8350 or so.

People have been saying even that will bottleneck by 10fps in certain games so dont hold your breath if its still not super amazing.

People getting over 10000 on 3dmark are running overclocked i7's - its a synthetic benchmark - you'll never hit those scores with an fx chip full stop.

You already have a decent pairing with a 6300@4.6 ,upgrading to an 8 core which may not hit that speed would be stupid & a waste of money & would likely drop gaming performance.

don't know how reliable that is.
2 r9 280x on amd fx8350 with score of 14500s

and

and intel i74790k with 2xr9 280x with scores of 15000s

yes if you want more than 1 highend gpu in your system i'll go for the Intel too (remember your gpu will be over 500buk and not some 150-250 gpu) but if you only have 1 gpu? dont' think it will make that much of a different. and yes you will be looking at about 1000usd for just the gpu.
if you are willing to pay that much on the gpu. why pay only 150 on the CPU?

^ those scores are tri-card 280x setups mate or dual 290x's - I pull around 10500 on a oc 8320 with crossfire 280x.

Thing is cards pop up cheap - I had a lone 280x in my rig & got offered a warranty refurb Asus one for £95 (the first card only cost me £80 from a 3 month old bitcoin rig) - too good an offer to turn down - both cards together only cost me 2/3 of what my 970 in my other rig cost.
