Best antivirus for windows 7

I have a 64 bit Acer lap top with WINDOWS 7. my Norton and McAfee antivirus has expired and I want to get the best one for the money for me. i primarily use this for surfing the net and Facebook.

I've been using Microsoft Security Essentials on my 64-bit Win7 system and have no complaints. Can't beat the price!

I use AVG free, have used it for years with no problems. I wouldn't recomend either of the ones you have been using.
So you have, MSE, AVG and Avast is also very good, all are free.
They may not have all the bells and whistles of the paid for ones, but work very well.

Avast and Avira are both free. Both are solid with Avira currently ahead in detection rate.

If you don't mind paying, NOD32 has the best combination of ease of use, performance, small footprint, high detection rate and low false alarms.
