Best "case" scenario

Okay, I plan on buying an AsRock z77 extreme motherboard.

I am looking for the best case that will line up with all 7 standoffs on the motherboard, as I want to take the most precautions. I know that not ALL are necessary, but I don't want to take a chance on a shorted motherboard.

My budget is between $40-60. So a Full tower is out of the question. What is the best mid-sized case that will work?

With cases it normally comes down to your personal preference. Most mid-tower cases will fit both ATX and mATX (btw there are usually 9 standoffs for ATX and 8 for mATX - at least thats what my case manual says) Whether red, black, white or blue is the best colour scheme only you can decide. The case is the symbol of your entire build. So have fun deciding

Thanks for your response skyscaper! I went ahead and spent a little extra on a flashy Raidmax Cobra Z
