How do you figure? If your going to say per the calculators disregard them as they don't account for the games or resolution.

The only issue with that CPU is the lack of hyperthreading for newer games, well that and the price as you can get the AMD 3300X for cheaper and it's hyperthreaded. Also with Comet Lake CPU's out there's little point in getting a 9th gen Intel currently.

Do you already have these parts? (specifically the MB).

If you do already have these parts then the best CPU for your budget is the 9600KF.

Since you already have 2x8GB 3200Mhz, I would recommend selling the i3 and the MB and getting a Ryzen 5 3600 ($167) with a B450M motherboard (MSI B450M TOMAHAWK MAX - $115) - total $282.

Thanks fory your reply, yeah i used the calculator but because when i played games in "max settings" the fps dropped a lot. and yeah i already have the parts so 9600KF will be it. This cpu will serve me long? I don't want to change more parts in a long time after this. Thanks again!

Difficult to say how long it would last as there's been issues with even 6 cores. I'd put up your motherboard and CPU for sale and go 10th gen if you prefer Intel or 3rd gen Ryzen.

For a bit more than $350 you can get a 3700x and be future proofed for even more years. But in my opionion the price difference between 3600 and 3700x isn't justified if you are going to use it only for gaming (I mean that the 3600 is enough for every game out there right now and won't bottleneck even a 2080 Ti).

The Ryzen 3600/B450 Tomahawk MAX is a solid combo. Your current memory would work ok but the ideal memory for 3rd gen Ryzen is 3600/CL16 or 3733/CL17.

If you have the AM4 brackets for that Noctua then I'd reuse it.
ok so how you see this?

Besides the horribly overpriced memory the build looks good.

If you want RGB I'd get this.

I'd put a SSD into that build and replace the GPU with something better and that should be plenty for Minecraft/Sims games.
