At 1920x1080 , only the faster 3.5GB VRAM is used hence no FPS drops

Here is my build for £850, It's a little over budget but you can save some cash by buying cheap keyboard and mouse, dropping to a 2TB HDD or dropping the CPU to a core i3 4160 or an Intel Pentium G3258.

I would personally not drop the GPU any further than an R9 280 and if you can afford it upgrade to an R9 285 or optimally an R9 290 which goes for £215 and is a beast for that money.

The key to building a Gaming Rig is a CPU that doesn't bottleneck your GPU too much, which the i5 4460 won't and having the most GPU grunt that you can afford, a 4GB frame buffer is important for longevity as games will demand a higher frame buffer as graphical detail increases which it will very soon, GTA V or Project CARS anyone? :)

Also keep in mind that buying a Pentium G3258 CPU now, you can upgrade it to an i5 4460 or even an i7 4790K later giving a much better system when you have the funds. Spending as much as possible on the GPU now will give you the best gaming experience now and for a much longer time. It is the part that gives the biggest improvement to gaming performance bar none.

Not sure if the link I embedded will work for you so here is a breakdown of the parts:

CPU: Intel Core i5-4460 3.2GHz Quad-Core Processor £144
Mobo: Asus Z97-A ATX LGA1150 Motherboard £116
RAM: G.Skill RipjawsX 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1866 £ 55
HDD: Samsung 840 EVO 120GB SSD £ 54
HDD: Seagate Barracuda 3TB 3.5" 7200RPM £ 77
GPU: XFX Radeon R9 280 3GB Double Dissipation £150
CASE: Corsair 200R ATX Mid Tower Case £ 50
PSU: EVGA SuperNOVA NEX 650W 80+ Gold Mod ATX £ 63
DVD: Samsung SH-224DB/BEBE DVD/CD Writer £ 11
OS: Microsoft Windows 8.1 (OEM) (64-bit) £ 74
Keyboard: Logitech K120 Wired Standard Keyboard £ 15
Mouse: Logitech G402 Wired Optical Mouse £ 35
TOTAL £844

A generic mouse and keyboard from any website you are buying parts from would save about £35-40, dropping the HDD to 2TB would save £15-20, dropping to a Pentium G3258 would save you £100, overall saving you £160 bringing you closer to your £600 budget but if you spent an extra £65 on the GPU to bring it up to the R9 290 you would see a massive improvement in FPS and give you an extra year of comfortable gaming before needing to upgrade the GPU IMO.

All the builds above are strong but remember to add an optical drive to any of them so that you can install Windows, it's only £11 for a good DVD burner so it's not a big deal but worth pointing out :)

Be careful choosing the 970 GPU as there is an issue with the 4GB frame buffer being partitioned to 3.5GB fast RAM and 0.5GB slower RAM. In most cases this doesn't have much effect on performance but in certain games this will have a bigger effect and going forward more games will utilise all of the frame buffer meaning this issue will effect more titles.

Food for thought/research.
