Best Flight Stick?

Funny you should mention that one... I have the poor-man's (even though it cost me $99 at the time) non-force feedback version of that stick in a storage box. Have you used yours with BF3 by chance? I used mine for HAWX and couldn't believe the ole USB 1.0 controller still functioned with it?

Maybe I don't need a new one after all if there's nothing new out there that's really any better?

I have the Logitech Extreme 3d Pro. It works well with BF3. The only issue I've had was that it wasn't working with BF3 for the first few days. Turned out that I had two joystick devices being recognized by Windows and I simply turned off the virtual joystick in the device manager. My friend got the Logitech Attack joystick (the model below the Extreme 3d Pro) and his worked fine. I uninstalled my drivers and he never installed the joystick drivers so it may have been an issue with the drivers. Everything works fine now and I really love the ergonomics of the Extreme 3d Pro (especially over the Attack model). I just had to rebind the keys for the joystick in BF3.

I would say for BF3 the Extreme 3d Pro is all you need. I think it's really well made for a $30 joystick. It has just the right amount of buttons on top of the joystick for all of my keybindings and the throttle control is much easier to use over the Attack model. It also has Yaw control, which is the main reason I bought this model over the Attack as I like flying the helicopters with the joystick.

I definitely have my eye on that one. How long have you been using yours?

Well, I plugged in the old sidewinder, blanked out the joystick commands for the infantry and land vehicles (when I didn't have these blanked, the throttle control on the stick would supercede pressing the w button and I could only drive backward), then mapped them for the jets and helis. If I feel like I need additional buttons, I'll probably look into something else.
