I just inherited a junk pc with an interesting assortment of parts. I was looking to put some older, compatible parts that I already had lying around unused inside of it as a weekend project to make it run some older games (circa 2006~2009). I wanted to ask if anybody had any recommendations for the following setup:
Two HD 4850’s in Crossfire (both are 1gb models from the same manufacturer)
AMD Phenom II x6 1055T
4x4gb 1333/1600mhz RAM (could go with either, I’ve got4x4 of each)
Dual-boots Windows 7 and 10
I’m thinking about older games that were considered benchmark titles at the time this kind of hardware was popular like Crysis and… Crysis Warhead? I’m low on inspiration .
Before anyone asks, the latest compatible drivers that I could find for the HD 4850’s from AMD is going to be CCC 13.9 WHQL for Windows 7 64bit.
