What is the best Gaming Graphics card within USD 115 (INR 7000) budget that can be paired with with FX 4300 processor? I am a casual gamer and would like to play FPS games like Crysis 3, COD Ghosts, Battlefield 4 etc., in medium settings smoothly.

For new cards, a GTX 750 can be had for $120 and is about the minimum for playing these games on medium-high settings at 1080p. However, you can get much more for $120 if you just look around on craigslist. Sometimes people sell 660 ti's and HD 7870s at these prices. I'd suggest scouring craigslist and ebay for a couple days and, if you can't find anything good, just pick up a gtx 750.

In 7000 u can get R7 250, this is just slower than 7750 and u can play games on medium sttings @900p

If u invest around 8000 u can get sapphire 7770 which is alot more powerful than the 250 and it can run games on med settings @1080p

Yeah R7 250 is the best in your budget.

Crysis 3 requires atleast a core i5 for smooth gaming even on low settings. So forget Crysis 3 with FX 4300.
CoD Ghosts is playable at low settings.
BF4 is playable at low settings.

Sorry for the confusion. By casual gaming I meant occasional gaming. Bad english on my part I guess. So you are saying that I cannot play crysis 3 at all with fx 4300? But it says here http://forums.anandtech.com/showthread.php?t=2302954 that fx 4300 gives an average of 48 fps which is not bad i believe.

Dude that benchmark is with a GTX 690(the fastest card available for gaming). When you are using a R7 250 just imagine what FPS you will be getting.

So if i somehow stretch my budget and buy a GTX 650 Ti instead of R7 250, will I be getting better FPS? Will Crysis 3 be playable at low to medium settings then? Is there any performance difference between using GTX 650 Ti 1GB and 2GB versions?

For smooth gameplay, you need to look at minimum framerate. If you get an average of 60 FPS in a game but drops to 20 FPS every 5 seconds - that is not smooth gameplay. It's irritating if you get frame drops like that.
According to TomsHardware, FX 8350 gives a minimum of 21 FPS with a GTX 680 at 1080p High Settings
Fact: FX 8350 is definitely better than FX 4300 in any game.
Taking a wild guess, FX 4300 with R7 250 will still give minimum 20 FPS at 720p Lowest settings.
Getting a better video card won't do any good.
Personally 20 FPS drops is unplayable for me

Crysis 3 is a game that is praised for its graphics only. If you are not getting that you aren't getting half of the entertainment value offered by the game. I wouldn't buy a game where I don't get 75% of the entertainment value offered by the game due to hardware or network limitations. AFAIK there are no Indian servers for BF4 and you get kicked out of servers if ping is too high. That is not an experience I want after i paid for the game.

Personally with a setup like FX 4300 and R7 250, I wouldn't buy any of those 3 games. I would rather buy games like Borderlands 2,Far Cry 3,Bioshock Infinite,etc that has gameplay and can be played with medium to high settings. Of course it's a different story if you are getting those games for free(which is not promoted on TomsHardware)

If you have an FX-4300 and an R7-250 some games will be bottlenecked more by the CPU, and some games will be bottlenecked more by the Graphics Card.

Some games will even be bottlenecked by the CPU at times, and the Graphics Card at other times.

The bottom line is that the Sapphire R7-250 is the best card in your budget, so I recommend it.

Not the FX-4170 had to be at 4.2GHz but bottlenecking wasn't too severe.

So this puts the R7-250 just below the HD7770 which is below playable at Medium. Having said that, the R7-250 got 30FPS at Medium here: http://www.overclockersclub.com/reviews/xfx_r7_250/8.htm

*If you drop to 1600x900 and drop a few settings lower (there's a LOW setting I believe) then you should be able to play at about 40FPS average (make sure VSYNC is OFF).

I can't speak for the smoothness of that gameplay or whether screen tearing (VSYNC OFF) or jagged edges (can't turn anti-aliasing up) would bother you but it's at least possible.

Games like Half Life 2 however are older, would run smoothers, and still look pretty good and are most importantly fun (and often fairly cheap on Steam).
