Best GFX card for the money?

Hey guys!
I'm looking to buy a new graphics card this Christmas, as my current Radeon 4350 is starting to fail me.

I'm on a budget of about $150 or less, which I think can get me a fairly reasonable card.

Specs:

4GB RAM (upgrading to 8GB this Christmas)

What is the best card I could get? I'm looking to be able to play games like Metro and Battlefield, while still having money left over. I don't care if it's nVidia or Radeon, as long as I can afford it and it gets the job done.

If anyone could help me with this, it would be much appreciated.

if one goes on sale, tis possible to get something like a 560/650ti/6870. its 7770 is for sure in budget, and if magically budget was stretched, 7850

Keep in mind though, both cards need a 6-pin power connector from the power supply unit.

You can get the 650 ti EVGA SSC at 139.99$ and after rebate : $119.99
Amazon is a reputable site vendor.

Any 600 series from nvidia comes with assassins creed 3, independent of the online site.
Also make sure your psu is a decent one.

Good choice - have fun with it I'm curious - why would anyone not be OK with rebates? I'm not American and we don't have rebates here but don't you just fill in a form and then get money back?

Some people have really bad luck with not getting their rebate back though, esipcally through that 4 my rebate place, I've never had a problem my self though.

I'm buying from Newegg because they give you AC3 with it ($50), and Amazon only gives a $20 rebate.
