Best GPU for 720p ultra gaming?

I need advice about which GPU to pick for 720p gaming. I am a starter photographer, and I'm looking forward to work in this area professionaly. I recently bought a 1080p 24" IPS monitor to hook to my laptop, which is low-end. When I started to use photoshop, and trying to make montages with the laptop, I noticed it just isn't enough for my requirements. I'm looking forward to build a custom PC for this matters. However I'm also a gamer, I have a PS3, and want to start playing games on PC, as buying a PS4/Xbone is just ridiculous for the prices of the games, paying to play online (seriously, WTF) and only being able to use the console for games.

I tried to use this monitor for gaming. I really didn't enjoy playing -CSGO, this laptop can run it 1080p 60fps, it's not hard at all- in full screen in this monitor. Everything feels so... ridiculously big. I don't think I'll be able to adapt to this size quickly. however I switched resolutions to windowed 720p and I found this to be -for me- an ideal screen size for games.

I have a limited budget of $11,000 mexican pesos - like $730 USD - and I've decided on most of the components I'll use.
CPU: Intel Core i5-4590
Mobo:Gigabyte GA-H97m-D3H
RAM: Corsair Vengeance Pro 2x4GB 1600MHz
PSU: Antec HCG-620M -should be enough for any gpu-
Case: Corsair Carbide SPEC-03

This leaves me with $3800 MXN - like $250 USD - for the GPU

Which one GPU should I use? Maybe in the future I'll upgrade to a 1440p monitor and a card like the GTX 970, but it is waaay out of my budget right now.
If it helps in any form, I don't really prefer any AA other than FXAA or 2x MSAA.

Edit: Forgot to mention that I have already bought a 1TB internal drive, which I'm using right now with a converter to make it an external drive. Will format it and use it with my build.

R9 380 or GTX 960 would fit your budget. I would go for the 380 if I were you. But since you are on 720p. The 370 (4gb model since you will want to crank up anti aliasing on that resolution) will fit your needs for a lower price. That way you can afford a better card like an R9 490 or GTX 1070 or anything else in those price ranges in the future for your 1440p setup.

R9 380 or GTX 960 would fit your budget. I would go for the 380 if I were you. But since you are on 720p. The 370 may fit your needs for a lower price. That way you can afford a better card like an R9 490 or GTX 1070 or anything else in those price ranges.

Of the new Rx 3xx series I could only find here in Mexico the 360 and 370. How does the 960 performs against the 370? They're about the same price, minimal difference

Remember that he want mostly the gpu for work, and nvidia is better for adobe apps due to nvidia cuda cores.

I have the gtx 960 and the pentium g3258 at 4.7, i play at 720 or 1080, but for adobe, i use my FX 8320 that is better and cheaper work station than what intel have to offer, the GPU is 6950 with is adobe recommended

Dude, It just came to my mind that if I got a Z97 mobo and a 4690k, I could SLI 960s in the future. Do you think the PSU is fine for the SLI?
