I am looking at buying an R9 390 however it only supports 3 displays,I like the look of the card and it will do what I want it to do except for support for 6 display setups. I am wondering if anybody knows a card that is as powerful and costs around the same (AUD) that can run on a 650-watt power supply that can also run 6 displays. Or if anyone knows a good cheap card that can run in CrossFire with the 390 (or other cards) to run the 6 displays. Thanks

This is my first post on Tom's Hardware after building my very first computer!

It will, but don't expect much performance. 3x 1080x1920 is somewhere between 1440p and 4k. So it'll do it, and you should manage 1080p60 with some big setting drops in certain games. For example, I run at just under half that number of pixels and can hold 60fps at high in pretty much everything, but with some drops here and there.

No I just want support for 6 screens so that i can have a 3 1080p monitor setup and a possible TV for viewing movies and videos so really 4... sorry that I didn't mention that in the original post. I'm still not sure if an R9 390 can run 3 1080p screens for gaming now that you mention that... Thanks for the help, and pointing out how stupid I was.

thanks! I'm starting to rethink a tipple monitor setup...

Well that us very wide. Racing games it's cool. Shooters it could make you feel sick. On my ultrawide I feel a bit queezy after fast fps games. However, it's stunning in stuff like no mans sky. I wouldn't go wider than 21:9 for most things. Triple 1080p is equivalent to much more than that

I think that I'm just going to go with 2 1080p monitors, one being for gaming and the other for productivity, because i know my computer can handle that if it is equipped with an R9 390. Thanks for the tips!
