Im looking for the best bang for buck GPU for my budge college gaming computer.

I want it to be under $200 (as a max), and the lower the better.
(i know there are some very good GPUs over 200, but being a budget computer, unless its only like 5 dollars more , im not interested)

so far i have found the 6790
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814161377

i just want to double check with the community that i havent overlocked a much better product

The computer will have a
24" monitor running at 1920x1200
i5-2500,
8 gigs of RAM,
700W PSU (or higher if needed),
and a bottom of the line, cheap, motherboard.

Hey, OP ??

The bow dude has a great gaming rig in his sig which looks roughly to be in your price range.

The HD7850 most likely has a built-in 20% OC, Zero-core/PowerTune, great compute and Graphics Core Next.

The difference in cost between the CPUs should handle it -- or snag a PhII965BE and AM3+ motherboard.

The HD7850 is worth it.

You could get two GTX 460 1GB and sli only if your bottom of the line motherboard has that option though :) tigerdirect has them on sale right now for 99.99 each http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=1781467&Sku=M452-0469 or you could get Radeon HD 6870 for 194.99 at tigerdirect http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=357292&CatId=7005 or you could get a GeForce GTX 560 OC Edition for $18199 http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=858869&CatId=3669 that's really your only options for that amount of money hope this helps bud.

Actually i half to agree that is the best bang for buck i am not sure if it better than a gtx 570 but it is a dam close call either way and the gtx480 is cheaper get the gtx 480 you won't regret it 😉
