Was wondering about these HD Graphics 5000, Iris Graphics 5100, Iris Pro Graphics 5200 and where they would place on the Hirerachy chart

I have a question I would like to buy GEFORCE GTX 970 but there are many brands can anyone help me choosing a brand this is my first time buying a gpu and my first choice is Sapphire r9 280x toxic but the power consumption is high in our country in the Philippines electric bill is high

My gtx 980 g1 is about 15% better than my previous gtx 690 b4 and after maximum oc on both. So a gm 204 is actually 10 to 15% better than a dual gk 104 card, your hierarchy chart shows the gtx 690 is superior.

AMD cards would have been attractive if there wasn't so many things that work against it attached to it... Heat, power consumption, driver support, lower OC headroom in some cases (not all of them bad in all cases)... It's the sum of those 'disadvantages' that conspire against it, especially when pitted against latest maxwells, which hits exactly at those weaknesses, at a prefectly reasonable price in comparison (not so much for 980, but it is not outright outrageous at least).

970 and 980 are cheap, yes! but i just bought my 290 for 4 months T_T... what am i suppose to do? anyone

Quick Question - Looking to play next gen console games using my current rig, specifically shadow of mordor. Can I get away with just a GPU upgrade (which one?) to make it happen or would it be a waste of time trying? Budget would be under $200

Current Rig: AMD Phenom II X4 965 3.52 Ghz :: 8GB 1600 RAM :: H20 Cooled :: XFX HD 5570?

Should be ok as long as you're not expecting maximum detail settings.

You can find a 270X in the $150 - $180 range depending on deal ( Newegg has a lot of Black November specials going on right now. ) You might get lucky and find a GTX 760 right around the $200 range.

I have found the image quality of some Radeons, such as my R9 280X, somewhat disappointing. For instance, look carefully at the carpet in the following image from Assassin's Creed 3: http://i.imgur.com/15zCw6f.jpg

For comparison, here is an image produced by an old Nvidia Fermi: http://i.imgur.com/sfUoDXP.jpg

In the image produced by the Radeon noise-like aliasing artifacts make it difficult to see small details in the carpet. In motion the carpet flickers badly on the Radeon but is rather stable on the Geforce. The problem can be fixed by using supersampling, but this is not possible in all games and the frame rate can be reduced too much.

Still mad I bought a 280x. The price now at $250, to my $300, is a steal when the GTX 970 is $400 as it is now, relative to the $310 it was at launch.

Wish I bought a 970 at launch, almost 30% more performance at ~50% the wattage. And even if I hadn't caught it in time, I'd still have saved 50 on my 280x, maybe bought a 285 (same card in essence) for 240.

The specifications neglect to mention that the AMD Radeon 9 260X requires a PCI-Express 3.0 x16 bus on the motherboard. In fact, none of the specifications listed for the graphics cards in this article mention the version of the PCIe bus that they require.

In the comparison , tom has left where intel 4300 hd and their next generation , I think intel hd 5300 , for intel core m.

don't buy a radeon r9 290x from sapphire mine broke the shop witch I purchased it from had closed down so contacted them after few weeks of them saying take it back to shop witch was closed down lol sapphire accepted the return first replacement did not work second lasted 5 hours then broke its cost me 18 pounds a time to return it and they say they wont help with me shipping it back no apology's for the broken cards they keep sending me I now hate ati cards

I doubt that the problem is in the AMD/ATI Radeon R9 290x chipset on the card, which is made by AMD. The card itself is made by Sapphire, or by contractors who make them for Sapphire, and they are responsible for your experiences, not AMD.

Maybe you should get a card from ASUS. I have never had a bad card from them, but I have not bought a lot of graphics cards either from ASUS or from any other manufacturer. Some people complain about bad cards from MSI on Amazon but others express satisfaction with the same MSI model .... which is true for the other manufacturers too. Every manufacturer can and does make bad cards, it is just a question of how many are bad in any specific "batch" or "run". They can have very few bad ones or a lot of bad ones.

The problem is that hardly any manufacturer will inspect the cards that are produced to identify bad ones. They say that the number of defective ones is too low to justify the cost of looking for them, and they would have to increase prices on all the cards to pay for inspecting them. Actually, what the cost would do is lower their profits because the price on the cards is not tied explicitly to how much it costs to make them.

Your answer is gibberish. Posting it twice did not improve it, doing that only made you look like an idiot twice instead of once. Please learn how to read and write. It should not be that hard to find someone to teach you regardless of your age. Look for an "adult school" run by your local school district, or enroll in remedial reading and writing classes at a local community college.
