Hello,
I've been having trouble finding a laptop that could run games, run simulations in programs such as Solidworks and I'd like for it to be able to handle cpu heavy tasks since I sometimes edit.
Fyi I am in France and from what I've been looking it seems like I should stay away from brands like Asus since I'd like a 1440p resolution and a gpu that could run most games and software but the Asus laptops seem ridiculous for bang for you buck.
I am willing to spend up until 2000euros for the laptop but would be nice if it was a little less.
Yes I know, get a normal desktop PC and it will be better at everything, but I've been traveling a lot and I tend to stay in one place for a significant period, sometimes two weeks, sometimes months so a laptop would be very convenient.
So far the best one I've found is this one: https://www.ldlc.com/fiche/PB00612912.html
Any comments and suggestions would be greatly appreciated
In short I need the laptop to edit, use cpu, ram heavy tasks and play 1440p games such as forza, battlefield and I play some cpu intense stuff like CS, escape from tarkov.
Only problem I have with the laptop I've provided is that from what I read, you can't game on it if you are not charging it which is a bit annoying.
Thank you for the help in advance!

If I use the link you've provided above, I end up with this;

ha s capable processor/APU and an RTX4070 but as you've said, you'd like to steer clear of Asus gear. The one you've picked has a larger SSD, slightly larger display and better WiFi. Lastly, you get an Assassin's Creed Shadows game coupon with your laptop purchase 😉

You should go for the Gigabyte laptop.

I'd like to stay away from Asus since the ROG and zephyrus are so expensive for what you get but I haven't heard good nor bad things about the TUF series.
The gigabyte one seems to tick all the boxes but I'm wondering if it's worth to look at different brands?
Also should I consider waiting for 2025 laptops?

Hello! I'm from another country and English is not my native language, so sorry for possible wrong grammar. I have a question about this Gigabyte laptop. Which processor is better to buy i-7 or i-9? Will productivity increase significantly and additional problems with cooling and power supply will not arise?

One more thought came to mind. Would it be worth waiting for 50 series rtx cards in laptops? I've seen rumors and so on that it is better than the 4070 by quite a bit.
Any idea what they would cost?
