Best method for cooling the Northbridge (NB) on the Rampage II Gene?

I'm looking at various options; (1) installing a Noctua U6 or Thermalright HR-05 IFX, (2) a modified Enzotech all-copper heatsink, (3) "some-how" mounting a 40mm fan on top of the existing heatsink, (4) using an Antec Spot Cool, or (5) blasting more air from the front case fan intake.

I'm unsure if the entire Asus stock heatsink needs to be removed to effectively cool the entire area, preferably not. I'd appreciate hearing from owners of this board which successful methods you use to keep the Northbridge temperatures within a reasonable range.

I use an antec spot cool for my Rampage Formula and it works great. I tried the 40mm fan on top of the heatsink but it didn't cool as well as the spot cool. The mixture of option 4 and 5 would be ideal. If you have a Frys nearby buy it online and pick it up in store.
