Hi,

I started a YouTube channel and have a budget of 20 US dollars or 13 British pounds. I make gaming videos and tech related videos in indoor conditions. I need a microphone replacement as my current microphone attached to the headphone has poor recording. My order is going to be from the UK amazon website because well I live in UK. I would prefer the microphone with 3.5 audio jack (USB is not preferred) because I would be able to use that when I record using my phone as my phone does not have a USB.

You don't have to suggest microphones that use up all the money, although you can, but I want best for bucks. Please if you can, leave a amazon.co.uk link to the product with its name.

Thanks very much! I really appreciate it if you could help me.

i cannot give you any specific recommendations as i do not know of any sub 20usd/13gbp microphones which are any good which work out of the box with pc/phones though can offer a few words you may want to think over.

while you might be tempted by a lavalier microphone, and there are certainly some low priced yet good quality ones, be aware that they are meant to be used with a preamp, otherwise output will be very low.

you will want a microphone which is meant to work with pc and phones out of the box that clearly states that it is for that purpose. often professional microphones are meant to be used with other equipment and are not quite as plug and play.

SF 920 and a soundcard. The SF is about 16 dollars, the card is about 2 dollars. Don't skimp out and only buy the mic the soundcard makes its sound leagues better.

Thank you Btarr120 for replying. I actually already bought the SF-920 before you recommended, but thanks anyways for taking some time into this.
