Good night folks.

I am looking forward to build a new PC for pure gaming (and so other mainstream stuff like checking FB, watching youtube videos or HD movies), but I'm stuck at the very beginning of the process, I don't know which CPU to choose, the FX 8350 or the i5 4670k, and I would like a little help on making the decision.

I mainly game WoW, LoL and Steam games like Half-life, I'm planning on abandoning my Xbox 360 and focus on PC gaming, but those 2 games are the ones that I play the most.

My actual setup is the following and it doesn't serve me anymore, sometimes when the GPU needs more power the computer just freezes and I have to reload it (I built it 3 years ago when I didn't know a thing about PC building):

CPU: AMD Phenom II x4 955
GPU: Gigabyte Radeon Hd 5670
Mobo: Gigabyte 880GM-UD2H
RAM: Kingston Hyper X 2x3 (2gb) 6gb 1600mhz (my computer runs it at 1333mhz, don't know why...).
Actek case with integrated "500w" power supply which I feel is killing my computer components...

You may ask why I'm going with those CPUs if I'm just going to play games like WoW or LoL, and the reason is that I want a really good performance in terms of FPS, and I really hate when I'm on a very hardware demanding part of the game and it starts running at 5-10 fps .-.

Hope you can help me, thank you :)

P.S: For the other componentes I'm planing on getting a mid range graphics card like a GTX 760 or 660, or a r9 270x or a 7870 ghz edition, a good mobo for overclocking, 8-16 gb's of RAM at 1600mhz or more, a 80 plus power supply of at least 500w and a decent case. Sorry for bad english btw.

I would go with the i5 over the 8350, it runs a lot cooler and will save you in the power bill department. But if you are planning on overclocking the 8350 overclocks like a champ the 8350 also has a higher clock rate. The i5 also has 2000 points over the 8350 in cinebench. I hope this helps you with your decision :)
