Seeing as though you have convinced me into getting a ryzen 7 5800x3d instead would you still think the same? This what you need :

Go for a mobo with at least a 10+ phase/vrm set up. Your 5900x needs a strong mobo to let perform best.
Yes, the 5800x3d will work with the higher end B550. I have an Asus B550 Prime Plus. Does great for my CPU OC. Very steady at 4.7ghz all core, and 4.85ghz on one or two cores.Seeing as though you have convinced me into getting a ryzen 7 5800x3d instead would you still think the same?

I do admit to liking the MSI MAG Tomahawk. Any will work with your CPU. Just pick a decent one.
