Go for a mobo with at least a 10+ phase/vrm set up. Your 5900x needs a strong mobo to let perform best.

Yes, the 5800x3d will work with the higher end B550. I have an Asus B550 Prime Plus. Does great for my CPU OC. Very steady at 4.7ghz all core, and 4.85ghz on one or two cores.

I do admit to liking the MSI MAG Tomahawk. Any will work with your CPU. Just pick a decent one.

You mean this one: ASUS PRIME B550M-K?

That would be one I would stray away from. It has a weak power system, with just 4+2 phases. Thisa would likely cause your CPU to throttle.


You need something with at least an 8+ power phase design, as minimum. It needs to be robust.
