I'm thinking of investing some of my life on Dark Age of Camelot, it sounds great to me.

How is that game in relation to the others of it's genre?

Very good. One of the best things about it is that your not relagated to doing one thing constantly. In everquest all you do is sit on your ass for hours on end. Trade skills are mainly a joke, and can only be taken up after you have made a tremendous amount of money. That requires levelling up and levelling up requires better armor which all boils down to sitting on your ass doing nothing at all. So in comparison to EQ I think it's a better game. Plus the PVP system is superior. It actually adds alot of excitement to the game and the fights are generally team based. So no rampant PK'ing going on. Just be careful of the EQ fanboy's opinions. They spend 90% of their freetime playing EQ or thinking about playing EQ.

Overall it's alot of fun with a wide variety of activities to do. I think you'll like it. I've also played Ultima Online but it's been so long I cant really comment. I tried out Anarchy Online, but shortly after DaOC was released and I considered it to be a better game right off the bat. But I would play Anarchy before I would play EQ any day of the week.

Anything goes when it comes to hoes cuz pimpin aint easy.

Yeah I am fully addicted to it and they're coming out with a new graphics engine already for it that will help the RvR (realm vs realm) go smoother. Plus they are going to soon start housing!!!

I played DAOC when it 1st came out for about 4 months. I never played EQ so I can’t compare but over all I just can’t justify spending that much time on a game. I only got to level 19 I think and to do RvsR u need a minimum of level 40 to have fun. If not you will just be easy targets for tons of level 50 out there.

It takes about 4-6 hours per level I found way more time then I want to spend.

Level is everything, If you are even a few levels below some one else you will never even hit em. It should be 2 level 10’s should be even to 1 level 20 but in reality 20 level 10s would never even hit the level 20.
Building up your Fletching or weapon making skill is even more mind numbing fun.

If I ever find myself on house arrest then I will go back to DAOC, other then that I prefer to spend my time doing thing that matter in this world.

Thx & Cya

I played Everquest, AC, AO, an DAoC...all i can say is Everquest is the first one i played and its the only one i still do play... DAoC is basically a cheap knock off of Everquest in my experience, albeit with Realm v Realm... There's a good reason nearly all Everquest servers are non-pvp...

edit: oh yea, Dungeon Siege and NWN both look to be more all out fun to play online than any of the MMORPGS...my advice, screw Massive Multi and go with the Single/Muli rpgs that are coming out this spring and summer.
