Hello everyone,

I was wondering if you could help me choose out a new monitor. At the moment, I'm using a 17" LCD and it has treated me very well these past five years. Nevertheless, I'm building a new rig, and I want more visual real-estate.

My new computers specs are:

CPU: Intel Core i5 Processor i5-2500K 3.3GHz 6MB LGA1155 CPU

GPU: MSI GeForce GTX560 1 GB DDR5 2DVI/Mini HDMI PCI-Express Video Card N560GTX TI TWIN FROZR II OC

Motherboard: MB ASROCK|P67 EXTREME4 (B3) P67

RAM: Kingston Technology HyperX 8 GB Kit (2x4 GB Modules) 8 Dual Channel Kit 1600 (PC3 12800) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM

PSU: Corsair Enthusiast Series 750-Watt 80 Plus Bronze Certified Power Supply compatible with Intel Core i3, i5, i7 and AMD platforms 750TX v2

SSD: SSD 60G|OCZ OCZSSD2-2VTXE60G

My budget at the moment is <$250. Also, if anyone could tell me what I'm looking for when choosing a monitor, that'd be great too :)

Solution
i'd go with at least a 20 to 22 inch.

you're probably stuck with 1920x1080 ( x1200 costs more)

for the price range you're probably looking at a TN or VA panel. TN has a limited viewing angle but is cheaper.

make sure it has a hdmi or dvi input.

it is best to see monitors in person. check out your local stores to see what is out there.
