Question Best OS to Host Server

Hello All,

I just built a $300 budget server build using the latest i3-9100F and am wondering which OS to use. I was going to use Windows 10 but am wondering if I should use hyper-v or vSphere incase I want to make additional servers. My motherboard has two intel gigabit nics as well so two servers could be an option. Let me know what you guys think.

Pc Specs
Intel core-i3 9100F
G.Skill Ripjaws 8GB 2666 DDR4
16GB Intel Optane
1TB Seagate Cuda drive
AsRock H370M-ITX/AX
MSI GTX 960 100me(old card just thrown in for Display)

Well, it needs a host OS. Then, you can make multiple guest VirtualMachines.
Hyper-V or VirtualBox, for instance.

Win 10 Pro would make a good host.

I can't think of many reasons why you'd want to.

I am going to be running an ark server, however if I want to run more than one server I can dedicate each Nic to a different server to minimize overhead correct?

Yes, you probably could. But unless you have a LOT of traffic, it won't make a lot of difference.
