There is Aopen GF6600 256MB for PCI slot. It's hard to find it, but it exists 😀
If you want to play S.T.A.L.K.E.R. X1550 should be enough, but buy 128bit version!

either that compairson is off or newegg is off because i found this x1300 (N82E16814129062)
with the same coreclock but a higher memory clock than the x1550 (N82E16814103031). i guess it dosent matter anyway because the x1300 cost more and has an older chip. i looked for the 6600 but i think the other person is mistaken because ive only found the card with a pci-e interface. im looking to get a pci card too and was almost about to get this card (N82E16814161074) but saw that it had a 64bit memory interface. after looking for about 2weeks now im going to get the x1550.

If anyone might want an older card to be used with an old P3 or something, I have a Jaton Video-88PCI-32Plus card that works perfectly.

Here's a picture of the box and a bit of info. My old box is still in great shape too, barely worn. I can't seem to find a picture of my exact card, but it's got the Riva TNT-2 accelator and 32mb's of SDRam rather than the 16. This card WILL work with Windows XP, but it's got analog out only. Great for home internet setup, and some light old school gaming.

Here's the driver page.

I'd let this card go for about $35 with shipping already included in that price.

The only two listings for it that I found are here.

It's got everything included in the box that came with it originally. The QuickStart guide and Intervideo/Driver CD w/ serial number on the sleeve. Everything is in great shape.

I run a system that can't use PCI express either, nor do I have the money at this point to buy the system that I want. So I went about upgrading this comp to its limit. With a few hundred dollars I got my memory up to 2 gigs, a P4 processor 2.8 Ghz and a HIS Radeon x1550. It can run Doom 3 just fine on medium setting getting decent work on high. And I have it playing Crysis with everything turned down.

Here is the link to the card:

It is cheap, and for now, will tide you over till you can buy a new rig. If it can handle Crysis then it should be able to help you out. Just don't expect it to blow you away with awesome graphics as you will need to turn off most fancy features and keep everything turned on low.

Although it is time for us to both go out and get new rigs 🙁

ive seen both an Nvidia Geforce 9500 GT and an Ati Radeon 4350 that are pci bus, and they could blow all of those out of the water, both for about 80 bucks

thx. I have an older HP system restricted to the PCI bus. I'm trying to move from a 4:3 monitor to a newer wide screen and the nVIDIA GeForce 5200 doesn't seem to be able to support the WS display. Just work, no video or games except what's on the web.

I'll check these cards, but does anyone have a recommendation for a PCI graphics card that will run a 23" wide screen monitor? [HP 3 gHz P4 1gb RAM]. Suggestions for a monitor?
