Best place to find old friends?

Where on the web is the best place to find old friends you have not seen or chatted with?

I tried Zabba search but I would much prefer a message board where people can leave a message.

Tried that and found only 1 friend last year. I am surprised the others are not online yet.

Maybe they do not want to be found.
