Best Power Supply Brand

Anything from Seasonic, Corsair, XFX, Antec, Enermax, PC&C are great; Nzxt, Silverstone, OCZ, Kingwin are decent, and Coolermaster, topower, FSP. BFG, Xion, Zalman, Abs, Xclio, Xigmatek are brands that has great and horrible products, so ask before buying one.

depends on what wattage level and modular vs. non and what 80+ rating you want...

diff brands take the cakes at diff levels (ive done tons of research before buying mine)

I found Typically,

XFX/Corsair to be the BEST 2 out there and Seasonic is also one of the best however seasonic is impossible to find and not a lot of availability (also XFX gets their guts from seasonic which is why they are also one of the best)

Antec is also great....

id stick to those 3 brands....however the OCZs and Silverstone are great as well at some wattages. like the OCZ fatality series at 500-600w is good....Silverstones are great but too pricy i find.

you can almost never go wrong with Corsairs sometimes.

just a question if your in the market for a new PSU post your specs and what you plan on doing with it....

1) What GPU do you use or will you be using?
-will you crossfire or sli it?
-will you overclock it

2) What CPU are you running?
-will you overclock it

3) How many HDDs and SSDs are you running and if multiple any in a RAID setup?

4) (the other perifs arent that important but they can be if you have an excess amount) such as how many USB items you using, how many optical drives? extra fans (typically on LEDs can draw some wattage that would maybe add up)

Extra fans are inconsequential. One 12 volt amp will power 3 or 4 120 mm fans at full speed. LED's? Wired in series, one 12 volt amp will easily power 250 LED's.

USB devices are generally not a problem either. Even if they are internally powered, they are powered from the largely under used 5 volt bus.

Thing with FSP is it makes cheap SAGAs (I think that's whats its called) that really sucks. While for OCZ is decent across the board, as even the older GameXStreams can output their rated powers while staying in spec.

As for Kingwin Im not sure, the reviews Ive read are generally all positive not no fatal flaws.

 OCZ GameXstream is FSP inside

I know, most of the OCZ line is by FSP. Epsilion IIRC, which is actually decent.
However FSP is one of those companies that make great and horrible platforms, thus IMO isnt a blind buy.

Hmm... I took a look into your tier 5 brands and looked up some reviews on Jonnyguru. I must say, NZXT and Rosewill did not bad. Maybe there are some known issues/huge fails known on the internet. But the rest in the tier 5 is actually bad, such as powmax, apevia, deer, youngyear etc... Oh and i think sunbeam belongs in the tier 5 too, saw a review on jonnyguru where it scored a 1 out of 10 at every aspect except for asthetics.
