** Best price/performance CPU for the 875P chipset? **

Well, what do you want to optimize for, price or
performance? As you want P4C800, so, just Intel CPU can be
used. And perhaps, now a P4 2.8C is your best choice,
800FSB, HT, not as much heat as a 2.8E, and faster than a
2.8E.

My 2 cents.

At the present time, it would seem that the P4 2.4C or 2.6C will give you
the best bang for the buck. They are both 800mhz HT chips, and both are
good overclockers. You might want to check the data base on
overclockers.com and then check out the good info on how to o/c the P4C800 E
Dlx. at abxzone.com (which used to be asus boards). A wealth of information
there. HTH
