Best processor for my Gigabyte Technology EP43-DS3 motherboard?

I have a fairly old pc and I recently upgraded my GPU to GeForce GTX 750 and I'm planing on upgrading my ram to 8GB since all of that is almost done all there's left is the processor, what would be the best one for my motherboard?

Core 2 Quad Q9650
I would just spend $30 on a cheap Micro ATX board and a cheap AMD CPU. Don't waste the money on paying $30 for one of these uses Core 2 CPU's

Well the best without any mods the Q9500 is now around 20$,
With modding the Xeon X5460 3.2Ghz (30$ish) and OC it a bit and its closest perfomance to FX 8350.

Here is the CPU Support List for your motherboard. The best processor is going to be the Core 2 Extreme QX9770, but the more common processor is the Intel Core 2 Quad 9650.
